It's quite a long story how we got here, the mitten business. But to sum it up - we met and graduated from Syracuse University in 2006. We created hoopla in 2007 and made quirky paper products as a fun side project as we worked in the corporate world. Vs. Mittens were born of a zany idea in the hoopla sketchbook. Why not turn your hands into rivals and entertain yourself on a busy subway or supermarket line, while keeping your hands warm?

Amazingly, our entire first run was bought out by a large online retailer. The next year, we successfully sold out of our second run. In 2011, Vs. Mittens launched the kids mitten line (due to popular demand): Vs. Mittens Juniors, for kids ages 4-7. Stay tuned- we are going to be releasing socks, booties and scarves for 2013!
